Your New Role - Design Coordinator Specialist

As the Design Coordinator Specialist you will be working closely with the management team & engineers to focus on coordinating the whole design and approval process on a range of standard and custom designs for customers needing structural framing solutions.

Due to continued growth, you will be joining the team in this newly created position where you can really make this role your own.  Showcase your desire to succeed, your forward-thinking, initiative, practicality and experience within the building and construction industry, frame and truss, facades or external building product’s will really help you to succeed in this role.

We are looking for someone wanting to step up and eventually manage a technical team. This is a fantastic career opportunity.

Your daily duties will include;

  • Understanding and providing design solutions to the customer
  • Designing, reviewing and interpreting structural plans
  • Manage design documentation and quality control from concept to hand over
  • Taking ownership and following through on all projects through the different stages
  • Working very closely with the management team – teamwork is critical
  • Some drafting and CAD work where required

What do you need to be successful

  • Great work ethic and attitude
  • Well-presented and excellent professional communication
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting structural plans/building framework
  • Design experience in a similar role
  • A solid understanding of drafting 
  • You want a role you can really make your own and take charge
  • A genuine desire to succeed and ability to think on your feet
  • Thrive off the variety and ever-changing requests – work under pressure
  • Experience with 3D modelling, in particular, Revit will be highly regarded

Training and ongoing support is provided, we do not require any formal qualifications however the right attitude is a MUST! You may have some design and drafting skills, or perhaps a structural engineer, architect or similar looking for a role that allows you to be a key member of the team and be able to work with customers and provide ideas, designs, and ultimately the right solution. Genuine career opportunities exist including growing and managing a technical team.
