Your new role

What an opportunity to join one of the best in their field in this newly created Estimator role.

Due to expansion and consistent growth we are looking for one more Building Estimator to join the team on a permanent basis. This role is a combination of onsite and office based work with a high focus on quality and attention to detail. We want the best. 

Your role, if you choose to accept will include:

  • Attend a range of commercial sites, preparing scope of works and quotes typically up to $150k
  • Coordinate site meetings with contractors to obtain estimates for quotes
  • Build good relationships with contractors and negotiate pricing 
  • Coordinate with clients to gain access to the properties 
  • Liaising with clients onsite, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage a portfolio of works
  • Submit detailed and accurate quotes and reports

If you have been in a foreman or supervisor type role before and you have extensive experience in quoting a range of repair work and dealing with contractors, this could be for you. Get off the tools while still enjoying being onsite and a critical part of the team.

What you will need to be successful?

  • Trade qualified builder, carpenter or similar is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in an Estimator role within the construction industry. Experience within the insurance and strata industry would be highly regarded
  • Ability to manage and organise your day, including onsite meetings with contractors and clients
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written including emailing etiquette
  • A great attitude, flexibility, honesty & trustworthy
  • Strong customer focus
  • Current drivers licence & white card
  • Tech savvy
