Your high volume Assistant Accountant experience, along with exceptional all-rounder administration abilities will see you succeed in this Accounting support role.


Your new company

A medium sized business within the construction industry, this Australian owned company are busy and looking to gain additional support in their accounts team. 

This is a newly created position and you will be based in their lovely office in Arndell Park, there is onsite parking and you will have your own dedicated office.


About the Role

After your induction and meeting the team you will be shown their in house systems and will receive excellent support to get you up and running to provide full function Assistant Accountant support.

Once you’re trained up, the business is okay with people working from home on an as needed basis, but it is the expectation that you would normally be in the office.

Your new role will include:

  • EOM processing
  • Management of all toll, Telstra, bank guarantees and other associated accounts
  • This is a high volume role
  • Use of Jobpac (Our client is happy to train on this if you havent used it before)
  • Back up for payroll and accounts payable
  • Advising managers if there is an overdue invoice to be followed up (You won't have to chase debtors in this role)
  • Payroll tax, group tax
  • Occasional BAS statements
  • Data entry
  • Answering incoming phone calls
  • Reconciling complex bank statements
  • Various other accounts administration as needed


About You

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant Accountant who is able to work full time, 5 days per week. 

This role will suit a professional and friendly person with experience in a high volume, all rounder role.

Our client is looking for the following key skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • The desire to work in a high volume role
  • The ability to communicate confidently, calmly and professionally at all levels
  • The ability to work full time hours based in the office 
  • Previous experience with Microsoft office suite
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • You will need your own car and license due to the location
