Australian owned National Heights Safety company. They design, manufacture, and install safety access systems, working predominately on industrial and commercial buildings across Australia.

Your new permanent role  - Assistant Project Manager

This role is responsible for supporting the project manager so the business can ensure effective

planning and coordination of project design, fabrication and installation activities as required so

as to ensure project is delivered on time on budget and in accordance with the project scope of

works.

 

Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Spend some time of project sites to assess plans and structures.
  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of project design, fabrication and

installation activities, on projects with a low level of complexity.

  • To conduct formal planning.
  • Manage and maintain administration project portals for construction projects.
  • Arrange inductions, external training, and plant/hire of equipment for projects.
  • Coordinate and complete approved project variations on projects with a low level of

complexity.

  • Assist the administration team to prepare the project claim sheet with invoicing

breakdown.

  • Arrange As Built drawings and Project handover schedule for Admin team.
  • Review SWMS and ensure installation methodology is executed correctly. As well as review special fabrication requirements & materials ordering.

 

Your background:

  • Drivers Licence (Essential)
  • Comfortable with working at heights (Essential)
  • Whitecard, Working at heights ticket, high risk licence (Desirable)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – communicating with projects admin, managers, supervisors, and installers.
  • Understanding regulatory framework
  • Self-motivated and results driven with ability to work autonomously
  • The ability to priorities, make decisions and meet deadlines
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Some project management and administration skills – Has used Microsoft office packages
