About The Client:
Our Client is a local, customer oriented business offering laser cutting, CNC folding, metal forming, bending and parts fabrication in Sydney & Blue Mountains areas.
Due to their continued growth, they now have an opportunity for a Machine Operator to join their stable and supportive team in Emu Plains.
Our client is looking for a safety-focused, reliable, dedicated and punctual Machine Operator who can work full-time hours and occasional overtime.
About the Role:Your new role will include but is not limited to: - Operation of a variety of machinery including lathes and CNC machinery and a gantry crane as well as other hand and power tools
- Conduct pre-start checks and set up of machinery
- Program machinery in accordance within guidelines and safety requirements
- Quality checks of all products and materials
- Stacking and preparing orders for despatch
- Reporting any faults or issues
- Forklift operation
- Maintaining the warehouse, ensuring it is always clean, tidy and safe
- Ensuring all Safe Work instructions and WHS policies and procedures are being followed and maintained at all times
- Work within a small team of 6 staff producing high quality and uniue designed metal products
- Operating workshop equipment
- You will use various equipment throughout the day including punches, presses, hydraulic riveters, grinders, saws, and many other tools.
Essential skills: - Forklift licence required
- Previous experience operating laser machines
- Welding and Fabricating
- A current driver's license and your own reliable vehicle
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- A good attitude and strong motivation to work
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Team Player and able to work autonomously
What’s in it for you: - Casual full-time hours (view to permanency after a 6-month qualifying period)
- Day shift available 7.00 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate of $35.00 + Super
