Our Client is a locally-based, not-for-profit organisation servicing the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Hawkesbury regions. They are an innovative, compassionate, community-driven organisation that provides holistic, person-centred care. They have been 100% self-funded since inception through their op shops, fundraising activities and the generosity of our community.

The Position:

They need a motivated, experienced, hardworking Truck Driver to join the team.
Operating from Katoomba, this is a permanent - part-time 26-hour LR Delivery driver position available
Mon 8 hours, Tues 7 hours, Wed 7 hours and  Fri 4 hours

You must be a versatile and compassionate individual who enjoys being active as you work as a driver for collections/deliveries and assist with operations inside their facilities

Responsibilities:

• Collect and deliver goods and donations
• Perform warehouse and  sorting activities as required
• Undertake any other duties within the scope of your skills and experience
• Comply with Safe WH& S procedures when picking up and delivering goods.
• Deal with clients, donors, volunteers and other employees professionally at all times
• Ensure trucks are clean and presentable at all times
• Drive to and from destinations in a safe, courteous and timely manner and always comply with road rules.
• Call ahead to confirm with donors or customers the expected pick-up and or delivery time.

Essential Criteria:

• A current unrestricted Driver’s License 
• MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION
• LR (Light Rigid) Drivers Licence essential
• Proven minimum of 3 years driving experience in a similar role.
• A current Forklift License (Desirable)
• Basic data entry skills
• Respectful and professional at all times
• Great communication, customer service and relationship-building skills. 
• Great Time Management and ability to follow a schedule
• Local area knowledge
• Be proactive in getting the job done both safely and efficiently
