Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant - Commercial Real Estate

About the Client

Our client is in the Commercial Real Estate industry and has been in business for many years. They have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join their fun and friendly team.
  
This role will be based in Penrith and does require working from the office.
  
About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to support and assist the busy Accounts Manager with the smooth running of the full accounts function of the business.


The role will involve:
  • Accurately maintaining records of documentation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing and assisting with End of Month activities
  • Entering supplier invoices
  • Preparing accounts payable cheques and fund transfers
  • Following up on outstanding payments
  • Processing relevant forms for clients
  • Preparing, filing and mailing invoices, receipts, cheques and any other requested items
  • Building strong rapport with clients, suppliers, stakeholders, etc
  • General administration and any adhoc duties as directed

About You


We are looking for a career-focused, personable and friendly accounts assistant with real estate experience (or someone with bookkeeping experience looking for a change) who is willing to learn, take direction from others and work well in a team.

Our client is looking for the following key skills:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience
  • Previous experience in a trust accounts role within the real estate industry will be highly regarded
  • High-level communicator, both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship and rapport-building skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and with others
  • The ability to take direction 
  • A willingness to learn 
  • A current Real Estate Certificate of Registration is a bonus, but not essential
  • A high level of dedication and self-motivation
